Step 2. Private training.

At CrossFit Committed we’re not just a group exercise class. We’re a school of fitness and we’re excited and ready to lead you on your journey to a better you.

In order to do that we require all new people to attend 10-20 private training sessions with your own “coach for life”. During this time your coach will work with you to prepare you for our group classes by taking you through our specially designed private lessons that will introduce you to all of the movements, in a safe manner, that you’ll see in an ordinary class. Many of the movements that we do in CrossFit look completely different than those that you’ve seen in a normal gym and this is the best way that there is to learn them.


CrossFit is hard. It’s hard because A LOT of our movements come from the sports of Olympic weightlifting and gymnastics. Teaching those movements in a group setting doesn’t work. We’ve tried it. People weren’t adequately prepared. Coaches had to spend too much time during the class re-teaching the movements over and over and people got frustrated and didn’t stick around.

Just like you wouldn’t go to a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school and expect to compete with the veterans on your first day, the same holds true at CrossFit Committed. We need to ensure that you’re knowledgeable of our movements and that you can execute them properly before we let you into the group class.

You’ll also learn about scaling, intensity, nutrition and mobility during your private training.

Step 3. Group classes

Once you’re competent in the CrossFit movements and successfully complete our graduation requirements, you are free to begin group classes.

During group classes, you’ll push yourself and sweat it out with like-minded individuals, as you compete with yourself (and others, if you choose) for rounds, time, points, and glory. You will reach new physical and emotional levels you didn’t think were possible, and you will undoubtedly find yourself with a new social and support network, who will help you on your continued path to greater health and happiness
